Enforcement
If your spouse, former spouse, or the other parent of your child has violated any provision of a court order that is already in place, the violating party may be held in contempt of court and face severe consequences. Enforcement actions are commonly brought when a parent withholds a child from the other parent, a parent does not pay child support, or if a spouse is not abiding by an order (such as Final Divorce Decree) previously ordered by a Judge. However, there are many other instances in which an enforcement action may be necessary to bring. If you find yourself in this situation, our firm’s attorneys can help resolve such matter. Alternatively, if a party has filed an enforcement action against you, there may be a reasonable explanation and our firm can assist you in these situations.
